Connect an AI app
Chirpy works as an MCP connector in AI apps and agents such as Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Meta Muse. Once connected, the app can use your Chirpy account when you ask it to: "Draft three posts about our weekend offer", "What did my last five posts do?", "Reply to new comments in the inbox".
Step by step for your app
ClaudeClaude on the web, desktop and mobile, and Claude Code.
Claude DuetAnthropic's agent app. It uses your Claude connectors.
ChatGPTAdd Chirpy as a custom MCP server plugin in ChatGPT.
ChatGPT DotsOpenAI's always-on agents in ChatGPT. They use your ChatGPT plugins.
GrokAdd Chirpy as a custom connector in Grok.
Grok BotxAI's agent. Ask it in chat to add the Chirpy connector.
Meta MuseAsk Muse in chat to create a custom connector for Chirpy.
Using another app? If it can add an MCP connector or server by its address, the steps below work there too.
What you need
- A Chirpy plan that includes it: Advanced, Max and Teams.
- An AI app that lets you add a custom MCP connector or server by its address.
Connect any app
- In your AI app, add a custom connector (each app names this a little differently) and use this address:
https://mcp.chirpy.me/mcp - When the app asks, sign in to Chirpy.
- Choose what the app can do:
- Read only: see your accounts, posts, Media Library, Brand Kits, campaigns, inbox and performance.
- Read and create: also make drafts, images, posters and videos, and edit Brand Kits. Nothing is published.
- Full access: also schedule and publish posts, reply to comments and messages, approve, moderate and delete.
- Select Allow. You go back to the app, connected.
Use it well
- Ask in plain words. The app picks the right Chirpy action, such as
create_draftsorlist_inbox. - Actions with full access act on your live social accounts straight away. Ask the app to show you the plan first.
- If you have several Brand Kits, name the one you mean. The app can list them with
list_brand_kits. - AI work, such as images and videos, uses your AI credits, as it does in the app.
See or disconnect apps
In Chirpy, open Settings > Developers. Connected apps are listed with what they can do and when they were last used. Disconnect stops an app at once.
For your own agents: an API key instead
Tools that can't sign in can send an API key (Max and Teams) as a Bearer token to the same address:
{
"mcpServers": {
"chirpy": {
"url": "https://mcp.chirpy.me/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
}
}
}
}
